Installing an S2 to replace an existing V1

If you already have a V1 device but are upgrading to an S2, you can keep your existing data but start adding the new functionality of the S2 to your dashboard.

Note: to get the full data functionality of the S2 (all modes, and 15 minute intervals) you will need to have a Professional Data subscription. Otherwise, the S2 will continue to report the same 4 grouped modes in 1 hour intervals as before.

By installing a new device using an existing account, the old device will automatically be stopped.

🔄  Upgrading and keeping the same account  🔄

Step 1 - Go to your dashboard

1️⃣    Open your dashboard

2️⃣    Go to 'Set up'

3️⃣    Scroll down to 'Serial number'

4️⃣    Click on 'Received a new device', then select the S2 process by clicking "I have a new S2"

Step 2 - Complete the installation

5️⃣    Enter the Serial number

6️⃣    Complete the installation steps

The first data will reach our servers in around 15 minutes and the dashboard will continue to show the latest data.

At the very bottom of the device's public page, you will see the date of the upgrade from V1 to S2.

🆕  Redeploying the existing V1  🆕

The existing V1 device can now be used in a different location, or repurposed (you can simply use the Raspberry Pi for a new project, or even sell it on). For further information on reinstalling the device, visit this page:
