Self-administered Telraam devices with the 'Add devices' functionality

What is a 'self-administered' installation?

With a self-administered installation we mean that the network administrator wants to install the devices in their network themselves. This functionality is only available for devices with a network subscription.

The citizen science procedure is to work together with citizens and therefore to use the candidate process and recruitment form (for more background see also "Preparing for candidate recruitment: essential steps and tips)

If, however, you wish to work differently and install the devices without the participation of citizens and, this article is for you.

Operating Procedure

It is important to follow this steps and not scan the QR code on the device to complete the installation. Scanning the QR code will cause the device be linked to your personal account and than it will not be set-up as a remote setup.

  1. Go to www.telraam.net

  2. Log in
You have to be a network admin to have access to this feature in your network dashboard

  3. Go to your network dashboard

  4. Go to the section "Users & Devices"

  5. Click in the right upper corner on 'Add device'

Conclusion

Every Telraam network has a number of devices 'belonging' to their network. With the procedure described above, you can install multiple devices yourself as a network administrator. In case you do have questions during the installation(s), please contact your account manager or support@telraam.net.
