There is no Telraam v1 Hotspot visible

Purpose of this article?

The Telraam Hotspot is not visible on your phone/tablet after you have connected your Telraam to the power. After your Telraam is turned on, the Telraam Hotspot should appear as a Wi-Fi option on your phone/tablet within a minute.

Step 1 - Check if your phone is at fault

1️⃣     Turn the wifi off and on on your cell phone (device you want to connect to the Telraam hotspot with)

2️⃣     Take another phone or tablet (if available) and check if you can see the Telraam hotspot on this device

Step 2 - Check the red light of your Telraam

3️⃣    Unplug the device and plug it back in immediately.

4️⃣    Check if the red light (🔴) turns on?

➡️    The red light turns on? Go to step 3

➡️    The red led does not turn on? Follow the instructions of this article "My Telraam device is shutting down "

Step 3 - Check the green light of your Telraam

5️⃣    Check (immediately after you pull out and plug in the Telraam) if the green light (🟢) also appears. This light should blink and then go out automatically.

➡️   It blinks and goes out automatically? Contact us at support@telraam.net

➡️   It does not blink? Go to step 4

Step 4 - Insert and/or update the SD card properly

If the green light is not blinking, there may be a problem with your SD card.

5️⃣   Make sure your SD card is inserted correctly. This small card (left) is the one that came with your Telraam (photo 1), along with the adapter (right).

The SD card should be inserted properly into the black box, with the metal part facing up (the part of the black box without holes as shown in the video below)Connecting to the Telraam hotspot fails.

6️⃣   Plug the Telraam into the power outlet

7️⃣   Check if the green light (🟢) blinks and automatically turns off and that you can now find the hotspot of your Telraam with your cell phone. If not, proceed to number 8.

8️⃣  Reinstall the software on your SD card. See this article on how to do this: "Updating the Telraam software by yourself ".
