What is the electricity and data consumption of a Telraam

Electricity consumption

A Telraam V1 consumption is about 3-4 Watt (http://www.pidramble.com/wiki/benchmarks/power-consumption). To give you an idea, that is about 3 times less than the stealth consumption of a digicorder.

Monitoring shows that an active Telraam sensor consumes about 3.2W during the day and about 0.5W at night. Over the 31-day period, that was 1.56kWh.

The power consumption of the Telraam S2 sensor is lower. Monitoring with a power metre shows that the average consumption is about 1-1.5 Watt. Power consumption is the same during day and night. Over the 31-day period, it’s about 1kWh. Electricity prices can differ; with prices of +/- 0.5€/kWh it adds up to 6€ on electricity cost per year. To put this in perspective an energy-saving LED-light bulb consumes about 5-7W, 5x more than a Telraam S2 sensor.
