Before a device can be installed by a new user, the previous installation of this device should be stopped. There are two ways to do this: changing the user status to non-active or stopping the last installation of the user.
Stop the last installation, leave the user account active
you stop the last installation. This action can only be performed by the network admin.
When to use this option?
When you ask back all devices and it's your decision the devices should come back.
How to
Go to your Telraam network dashboard
Open the tab 'Users & devices'
Click on 'more'
Click on 'stop installation'
What happens to...
The last installation of the user: will be changed to status 'stopped' (you can see this in the tab 'Installations'). More info on these statuses, see article "Information on your users: device status, detailed device status, set-up (installation) steps and data packages"
Account status of the user: The account will stay active.
Visibility of segment on public map: The segment you were monitoring will stay visible on the public map available on our website.
Access to historic data for the user: The user can continue to log in at telraam.net to view the historical data.
Change the user status to non-active
This happens when the user fills in the outboarding form. If a user is going to non-active, automatically the installation will be stopped. Aside from the user doing this, the network admin can also change the status of the user to non-active.
When to use this option?
When a user contacts you (network admin) and indicates they want to stop counting. Than you can either send them the outboarding link to fill in themselves, or you can fill in the outboardingform for them and indicate the reason why they want to stop counting.
How to
Go to your Telraam network dashboard
Open the tab 'Users & devices'
Open the details of a user (edit & details)
Go to the tab 'Device'
There you'll see the status, either 'Active' or 'Outboarded / inactive'
