Telraam S2 count validations - a step-by-step guide

If you're a Telraam S2 user and want to check how accurate your device is, read on. In the majority of circumstances Telraam S2 should perform according to our published figures, but we are aware that there are some situations where - for one reason or another - the performance will fall outside the expected range. Unfortunately at this moment we still don't have enough data to confidently identify and remedy these specific scenarios, but this is where you can help.

We realise that it is more likely that it will be unhappy users who will provide more validations. To help us avoid some of the negative bias in our data this will cause, we would like to ask users who are happy with the performance of our sensor to also send validation counts. For these cases our validation requirements are less strict (we refer to this as Quick validation later).

By doing detailed Video validations if necessary, following our step-by-step guide, you will contribute to a better understanding of these problematic situations. It is very important that you follow the guide precisely, as we need to assemble a homogeneous dataset coming from identical experiments. Therefore, validations that are incomplete or diverging in some way won't be able to be used, and we will be unable to give you a factual explanation about why your device is performing as it is.

All reliable video validations will be processed in batches (at least once a month, or if we receive a lot of data then even sooner). As soon as your validation is processed we will provide detailed feedback on it to you personally, we will include its results in our public validation database, and will use its video material as part of our future AI model training set. This should contribute to an improvement of our algorithms and AI and consequently raise the accuracy of your device.

Therefore we suggest starting with a Quick validation, and if the results of this are unsatisfactory, then we ask you to perform a Video validation. Please visit the linked pages for more information.
